With the first semester of the school year almost over, those who are in search of Houston teaching jobs may believe that their chances at finding employment this term are over. This is not necessarily so. Although it is easier to find a employment in education prior to the beginning of the school year, there are still several opportunities out there to be had.
A recent job posting on Careerbuilder.com by Teacher Connection, Inc., a staffing agency which handles job placement for area educators in both private and public schools, states that there are still more than a few positions unfulfilled. Several of these are said to be immediate openings, where as the rest are positions where employment would begin with the start of the second semester. Teacher Connection lists Houston jobs for educators from elementary level through high school. Those who are most needed are bilingual/ESL educators, math and science teachers (from basic life science to chemistry and physics), and special education specialists.
